The Great Northwest.....

I feel like I've been out of touch with my little blog world lately. We went to Utah and then came home with the in-laws following us. We had a week break before my mom and her neighbor came to visit us from Phoenix. We had fun time with our house guests!

While I was home cooking and cleaning, R went on a "morale event" kayaking in the San Juan Islands with his Microsoft group.

Meanwhile, J's out in the garden weeding, pruning and harvesting. Look at that beautiful crop! If I don't say so myself, it's sompin' to be down right proud of. We've got zucchini, green onions, corn, yellow squash, serano peppers and cucumbers thus far. We're waiting for the tomatoes to ripen. Our friends are locking their doors so we don't sneak zucchini into their homes.

My mother and her neighbor came to visit Seattle. Here they are at Kerry Park. A funny thing, we drove up to Kerry park to take the "Seattle" photo shot and found Charles Gibson doing a telecast from Seattle for the ABC Evening News, right smack in our favorite spot. He was on his way to Alaska to talk to some lady governor.

My mother and Rita went to Vancouver, BC for a little over night trip and we drove to Port Angeles, WA to pick them up from the ferry. We had a great time driving up to PA and seeing the sites and the beach. We went to Fort Worden to look at a spot for the family reunion next year and we found some comfy accommodations for the Gordon Clan. Bring a soft pillow.

BTW.........I'm going on my "morale event" to Reno. Hope to see you my Reno family and friends!
Reno Girls we need a late night gathering at Denny's while I'm there!

What a clever new way to say 'business trip', which was always a clever way of saying 'using the company money for fun and a tax write off'.

Impressive veggies!

Sad news jenn, our Denny's went out of business. But yay! we get to go somewhere good now :)
