Off to explore more of Ireland...

R finished working in Dublin, so we hit the road to see the rest of the island. We took a taxi back to the airport to pick up our rental rollerskate...

(The bolded text is linked to the web to read more about the place pictured. Saves me having to write about it and less for you to read, if you're just a photo scanner. :-)

I have to mention that it is VERY important to rent a GPS system in a unfamiliar place. That GPS saved us many times....and our marriage. Ha!
We rented our car and headed to Malahide Castle, north of Dublin. We were so lucky it was a beautiful, sunny day!

The Queen in her drafty castle

We then headed south to Kilkenny. This was the first little Irish town we saw and it was so cute! Everything you imagined a little Irish town to be.

We toured the Kilkenny Castle.

r's new position as a Kilkenny Guard...he hadn't been issued his uniform yet!

Sights around the town of Kilkenny...

Off we were onto the narrow Irish highways and biways heading to Cork, Cork County, Ireland. Land of my ancestors, the Ryans and the Kennedys....
